The Warpaint Scolymia is a high-impact large polyp stony (LPS) coral known for its saturated red coloration and distinct streak-like patterning radiating from the central mouth.
This specimen displays a dense fleshy body with strong colour contrast under blue spectrum lighting. Its symmetrical form and heavy tissue structure make it an ideal centrepiece coral for minimalist or mixed reef aquariums.
Scolymia corals are hardy when kept in stable conditions and prefer gentle indirect flow to maintain full tissue expansion. Proper placement enhances colour depth and prevents tissue stress.
This coral performs best in established reef systems with consistent nutrient levels and stable parameters.
